Why was this update made? What if a topic poster wanted to compile something about the rest of the thread? I don't like this update.
This is a good point actually, but the risk of editing child porn into older posts has been presented as a possible risk.

Editing a post now requires that the post be no more than 24 hours old.
If it is, edits will not be possible.
Not sure I like this. I prefer being able to change stuff, setting it in stone makes me uneasy. I see the problem with editing cp in old posts though...

I will forgive you for this only if you make links clickable in chat :)
You can select the chat link, rightclick it and choose "open/open in new tab" anytime you want.
