Honestly the kiwis back off instantly when lolcows don't reciprocate being antagonized and stay cool and calm--to the kiwis, that's boring. 

My best advice is to have a chill attitude about everything, be polite, don't threaten, don't do anything that would constitute as funny to them--they feed on ridiculous behavior.
