That is really dumb. Does not take into account the number of abortions before Roe V Wade nor the decline in abortions in the 80s (which by extension should have lead to a higher crime rate). Other then that it rests on so many assumptions to call it shaky is a overstatement.
The 1990s crime decline has two leading theories "Broken windows theory" and more recently "Regression to normal" (very interesting theory).
