Whether or not it is explicitly illegal, it crosses a line.
RE: Reason;
It is the context, not the content, that concerns me. This is a forum wherein paedophilia is readily discussed, and I have never objected to such exercise of expression. That is, of course, the nature of this forum.
However, when discussions of paedophilia are paired with images of naked children, I object, mostly in the interests of my continued involvement in this community. I enjoy the time I spend here, but there is a point of risk at which I can no longer justify that. Sharing images of naked children tips that risk into unjustifiable territory.
Naturally, I don't expect content to be censored in the interests of my continued posting. I'm not that narcissistic. Someone else will readily fill my .gif void. I'm just making my position known, in the hope that it might be shared, and in the knowledge that it may not.
As Edvard argued before, it's not an overtly sexual image.
As I would argue, context makes it inappropriate. In a family photo album, this is a perfectly reasonable image. On a forum for "sociopaths" with open discussion and self-professed paedophiles, it is not reasonable.
I'm not familiar with the complexities of child exploitation law, but I am uncomfortable frequenting a site with images like this paired with the sort of conversation that is common.
"We should just change our rules so that any underage nudity is banned, regardless of whether it's sexual or not."
In this context, I would argue that pictures depicting underage nudity do not have benign connotations. Of course, I can accept if others don't feel that way. What I enjoy about this site is its lack of censorship. However, I'd question what exactly this site would lose by banning underage nudity. The "slippery slope" argument doesn't really apply. At least since I arrived, discussion has been entirely unhampered, with no objection from any party.
