No one is really questioning the idea of there being two sexes, what is being questioned is if society's view of gender should be binary or absolute. Offering choice to people is not bad so long as there are no negative externalities (which there is associated to a binary view of gender identification).

Xena's feminism is also mine. I consider myself a reasonably successful woman, but I've had a lot of advantages in life. 

There are millions of women all over the world with aptitudes equaling and surpassing mine, and they would benefit from advocacy.

Moreover, there is also a wage disparity in my field, particularly in private hospitals. Female consultants are paid less - especially surgical consultants - because it is often assumed that they will generate less client trust. Because it must be really hard to operate with those boobs getting in the way >.>

IF they are any good at what they do, they will succeed based on their own merits. Not advocacy.
