Considering they represent the killer's work some could say that a dead victim is a work of art, but I personally think that's all bullshit.

The fact is, a dead body is nothing more than trash to be disposed of. The victim had zero value while alive, so they sure as shit haven't got any while dead.

The blood because, in a way, it represents life. There's also something erotic about it.

Bloodshed is arousing, but I believe it's the violence that turns me on more - the releasing of all that pent up aggression.

I prefer a good story over the gore itself, having said gore work more like an accent or a spice to the tale. The visuals by themselves mean nothing to me otherwise.

Morbid Reality, Darwin Awards, and plenty of other places cater to this sort of thing in soft ways. I haven't gone much further than that in a while.
