I appreciate the advice, but I don't think I'll be killing myself anytime soon. If I'm such a bore to you, then I'd rather stay alive and make you suffer.

I've made topics that got the job done when it came to gathering a forum consensus on something. It's not really that difficult if it's about something that matters.

At least not enough to 'rally others' which tbh would be super tough for me. Also rallying others hasn't seemed to make a difference, if this site changes at all, it will likely be when its creators feel like changing it, and it doesn't look like said creators are very influenced by mounting and collective annoyance.

You are a user. Which is a great thing. You have to bear the consequences of any mod decisions you make from the POV of a user. I think that can help ensure that you make decisions with the users' perspective in mind. Though I'm sure what looks 'good' to you looks less good to other users at times.
