You and your greatest accomplishments

Most people here are proud for one reason or another. So, what are your accomplishments? Even if you are all still flowers waiting to bloom, so to speak, just post here anyway.

I relate spiritually. More and more, I'm blurring the line between work clothes and pajamas. Easing my colleagues into the inevitable future.

I really dislike having to actually go in to work. Every day I put on real people clothes, instead of pajamas, to work from work and not from home is a big accomplishment for me. I have a dream... It's to finish my doctorate with as pajamas wearing as possible. If I can avoid wearing real clothing at least 43% of the time I am working towards my PhD, I will consider myself a success.

I think I will have to add this. Most teens don't own houses but I owned part of one in my late teens. I had no problem paying my part even if I was extremely low income (50 % of poverty level). I also learned a heck of a lot of simple living there, like how you do things like in the old days, without modern stuff. We didn't even have electric light. Of course there is nothing really special about living like that since it is how people lived for many 100 years, still I do think it counts as something in today's world where we're supposed to cry and freeze to death if we don't have access to fancy things.

One summer out there (summers were easy), a friend and I stretched 200 SEK over almost 4 months. We came up with quite cool ways of getting by!

When I was much younger I wrote some songs I have realized as more of an adult, actually were quite good. It's kind of too bad that cheap computers didn't exist back then or I would probably have recorded and mixed it. And maybe found people to add where I wasn't as good as I wanted to be. But online didn't really exists either. Now I don't have the same interest in doing those things.

Novel wise I have finished writing four. My inner critic is quite strong so I don't feel they are particularly good. Still, most people don't have done that.

My greatest accomplishment is probably troubleshooting and fixing computer illiterate's machines, just me being on the phone with them. It takes a lot of patience and I usually succeed in what I'm doing. In this area I'm really surprised by myself. I have been told I am very good at understanding what people try to say, and good at explaining things. I remember an exercise we had at school once when I was 18. You got a quite complex image with different geometric figures attached to each others, and more, and you only had words to explain the image to the next subject that was supposed to draw it. You could not see them while drawing it. Our image came out identical to the original, and we were the only people in class succeeding in that task. It was seen as next to impossible, still we didn't have any problems whatsoever. I've also taught kids at the pony stable, and while teaching makes me very uncomfortable, they get at once, at any age, what I'm explaining to them. Too bad I don't have the rest of the skillset to be a teacher.
