Particularly the self-deprecating ones which joke and belittle themselves, but also make fun of others, thereby drowning it all out with this appearance that they just don't give a fuck and it's all a joke to them, when in fact they are transmitting their insecurities encoded in their over-compensating behavior.
How do anger and depression oppose one another? It's called "self-loathing." Displays of anger can definitely originate from someone's depression. I don't think depression is necessarily a "giving up." If your whole life experience seems negative and set against you -- if you are in depression -- one can react to it in different ways. One could aim this destruction toward one's self or else take it out on the world they think is responsible for it.
The way that I understand psychopathy and sociopathy is that there is some prerequisite narcissism. I'm not sure how that pairs with depression -- even whether it's possible or not. But I'm sure if one surrounds themselves with pessimism, I think they can certainly be sociopathic, but they would likely take the latter route of depression leading to an anger to the outside world, not directed toward themselves.
There is a lot of debate about weather emo is just a music type, or a personality type. So, I'd like to know if these opposing lifestyles can ever mix. Before some smart-ass says that they cant because they oppose each other, depression and anger can mix, but they oppose each other.

I imagine it could. Narcs seem to me to be deeply and violently insecure, to the point that they bury it beneath layers and layers of delusional self-worship. I suspect many are depressed, but that it's become buried with their insecurities. They're so lacking in self-awareness that likely wouldn't even know they're depressed.

I can understand what you mean by anger and depression opposing each other, as one of those emotions is a motivational influence, while the other demotivates the will.
Emo is typically a phase that's regularly associated with some youth.
Like a hip hopper, and blues man, Emo is also a culture comprised of style and music that eventually attaches itself, to the ego itself. You don't have to dress the part to be a hip hopper, which is the same for the other, flavors if you will.
Just because it's the truth, doesn't mean a sociopath would always avoid it. Regardless of their lack of empathy and care, they are prone to envy, so adopting the arts of venting/generating personal issues is bound to have appeal to those who are likely to place blame and accuse others. The reasoning behind an emo sociopath is selfish like the typical emo, except the sociopath's participation in this state of being would have more to do with manipulation, though they themselves won't sympathize, sympathy from others is considerably good supply for a sociopath.
When long bangs, confrontations, and interventions no longer serve the youth, they stray away from expressing themselves in that manner. Maturity. For a sociopath, they too have the intuition to let go of what neutrality no longer serves them, especially when that neutrality will undo them. Unless it makes us money, dressing like a goth or a punk as an adult or emotional instability is the road to poverty.
