I think that's a good compromise a public chat for all maybe even allow anons to talk and a registered chat for registered users now the only problem is getting Luna to do it which she probably won't because she's stoned all the time

Letting people see the chat without making an account will draw more of them in. Chat is by far this forum's best feature and before(on SC 1.0) potential users would have no way of knowing it even existed, potentially turning them away. I think the current system is perfect, they can watch the conversations and are enticed to make an account in order to interact/voice an opinion.

The entire reason this came up is because angee is a fucking paranoid freak. Remember, take advantage of that fact when she's around
