several weeks ago i spent around three hours wandering around a local park looking for indian hellebore, without success. that was complete fail.

apparently japanese yew, which is a common ornamental shrub, is also very poisonous
water hemlock and poison hemlock are toxic but hard to find
indian hellebore is highly poisonous, i think it grows somewhere around here but i'm not sure where
another poisonous ornamental shrub, oleander
interestingly enough, apple seeds contain amounts of amygdalin, which metabolizes into cyanide when you swallow it.
