I never thought of myself as manipulative. I still don't. Everyone is though. They start practicing right away, as soon as they start learning to talk. You can take two children and both of them could try the same manipulation, and it would be easy to see through both, but only the charming one will get what they want anyway. If the other child has no charisma it will warrant a disciplinary action. :)

There was someone who stole my cookie. I gave them puppy eyes and they gave it back.

well, then what's the biggest thing your charm got you? 

I was able to stay alive. I guess that's pretty big considering the odds were not at all in my favor many times. I'm not some scheming villain. I don't try to charm people to win some trophy for my ego.
