I think that there should be a way to know which post a person is replying to specifically. The name is always stated,  but this can be confusing in larger threads with multiple replies from one person

That is true, it seems new folks come during the first quarter of the new year, and im sure that genuine new users can be told by other members that we simply ignore some users based off of how annoying they are.
