I was thinking in the shower this morning, something that i think would be possible to achieve is a face identification program using pictures or video.
I think you would need to first identify the head, and which part of it your looking at back side or front, and then measure the distances between the different levels of light. I'm guessing each face will have its own mathematical profile which can be stored, and matched, so its a question of putting together a string of valus which accurately associate different images of the same individual, and store them in a database, and then create a program which analyzes faces and compares them to the database.
Once we have facial recognition software we can do things like clock people in automaticly, or turn on light or music settings according to preference. It would need to be simple enough where the software can literally be like.. a website, which hooks up to a any video feed or video file and then logs faces and their times, and then the user can enter in names for the faces.
