Any time you're watching a video and there's an intro with some crazy bass and the channel name self-assembles out of cubes or whatever, and a TV smashes through it and shit is exploding, that should be the first red flag that you're in for a video with paid actors...they're a dime-a-dozen in major cities, and tons of large YouTube channels with crazy intros hire them all the time for their "pranks" and whatnot.
Right off the bat you should know something is off when a girl is meeting a guy from Craigslist, and without any hesitation she gets right into the car with him. Maybe they met somewhere beforehand, who knows? But that tells you that these guys are staging scenes...both people are pretending like it's not staged, clearly the girl is an actor. Also note the overly dramatic music and alterations used to suck people in. For instance, at 3:43 their camera has crystal-clear night vision, and only 5 seconds later after a cut, they re-add the grainy effect to the camera.
Maybe I haven't spent enough time hanging around the mentally insane, but the way everyone is acting in that video comes off as intentionally over-the-top. The Pikachu suit and the latex...? Come on, how convenient is that for the already sensationalist video to make it a bit juicier? There are strangers in this guy's house recording him and he is way calm about it (listen to him at 6:45). Wouldn't most people be calling 911 as soon as they got loose from the restraints? Then the girl is about to charge him with a knife knowing damn well everything is being recorded since she brought the camera crew herself? Also, what's up with the cutoff at the end? Nothing fishy going on with that timing.
Sorry for killing it, I hate these channels and what they're doing.
