how does it even exist.. what is it even?? how does a thing made out of atoms know that it is existing?? if i take this computer that's on my knees and write the right program, can i get it to recognize its own existence too?? or is that some secret that's limited to evolution??
we've done so much research in other areas, but the mind is the most unexplored, for some reason. brains are probably some of the most complex machines on earth, what are the details of how they work?? i mean, we know the structure of synapses and neurotransmitters, but we don't know how they work together to make a thing, or how that thing works, really. if we could break open the secrets of this thing, imagine what we could do.. we could control it, control the mind, it would be like typing commands at a shell, except instead of controlling a hunk of metal, you would be controlling a person. if you wound up having a mental disorder, well then you could just reprogram your brain how you liked, and say fuck you to depression or whatever.
there are so many weird questions. why am i me?? i mean, why am i in this one?? why am i not conscious of being you, or my dad, or whoever??
is it something that's not possible by the rules of our universe, and the creators manufacture with more advanced technologies than what is here??
who knows.
