Don't forget the past, but don't live in it. Use your experience to your advantage. And stop whining. Nobody cares. At least not in a way you expect.

hi everyone i wonder if anyone can give me anymore insight into sociopaths i have been scouring the internet for support groups as i have just recently discovered that my partner (ex) has all the traits described as a sociopath i was with him for around 17 months at first he was very charming, attractive bundle of energy just fun to be around, until as time went on his mask started to slip i would find out discrepencies in the things he said and some things just did not add up, i suspected he had cheated but could never prove it, an example was when i had found out he was on a chat site with pictures he had taken in my house even pics i had taken! yet he still denied he had been on one! at the time i just wanted to believe him as i totally and utterly fell for him hard i wanted to believe this perfect man wouldnt do such a thing so i even convinced myself that it must be some mistake :/ he always thought i was speaking to other men accusing me all time ive now realised that he may have been covering his own tracks. i feel hurt, betrayed, shocked he is still texting me trying to play me but i am more aware of the situation than i have ever been, im wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and can shed little light on what or what not to expect thanks in advance guys x
