I found Ecstasy fairly underwhelming when I took it with my ex-fiance. Physically my tactile sensations went a little weird, but I was still mentally as sharp as I was prior.
She was another story entirely.
"if there was a medication for inducing empathy, would you want it out of curiosity(or otherwise)?"
So... "Ecstacy"?
I'd love to see what an "empathy med" would do for someone who is challenged from it in the sense of having too much, or what overdosing on it would cause.
What part of your behaviour gave away your sociopathy? Because some of my friends mentioned that I have some symptoms, so I did some research, and it seemed to fit. Would you be able to describe what sets you apart from everyone else? For me, I seem to be unable to feel sorry for people who screw themselves over no matter what the circumstances. It was their fault, they should repent. And in general, people should accept their circumstances or improve them by their own power, and not just complain... Sorry for ranting. But do these thoughts seem familiar to you?
i think drugs like ecstasy are the closest ASPD's will get to experiencing empathy, and mental breakdowns of a certain type are the closest NT's will get to feeling nothing. have you ever felt really close and compassionate to others while high af? i've felt 'nothing' before and it was awful. just like i was dead inside, but worse. void.
