What is your result?
Your Empathizing Quotient is 20. Baron-Cohen (2003) suggests that this means "you have a lower than average ability for understanding how other people feel and responding appropriately".
Your Systemizing Quotient is 29. Baron-Cohen (2003) suggests that this means "you have a lower than average ability for analysing and exploring a system".
I don't think I agree with this test, so much. Highly situational, questions offer answers that just make it more ambiguous and generalized than what functionally makes sense, etc. Whatever, man.
It seems everyone that takes this test here is "lower than average" on both counts. What it really sounds like is people don't give a fuck about how things work that don't immediately interest or concern them, nor how people feel that don't immediately interest or concern them. That makes sense, but it still doesn't explain what "average" rates in this equation. I'm willing to admit I care less than most, but if everyone here consistently gets "lower than average" ...what the fuck is average?
the systematizing amount is probably somewhat inaccurate, since it asks how much you enjoy trying to understand systems, and assume that that reflects how good you actually are at understanding them.
idk how accurate the empathizing bit is. if i miss these social cues all the time, then how would i know?? people never tell me this shit. i assumed on all of the questions that i didn't know how to do any of these things, since that seems to be the general consensus of the people who evaluate me.
