Sometimes I come here to talk to only one or two people, I don't want others to see me on too, for example.

I really don't like that we can't chat or read chat while logged out anymore. Why are we forced to appear as online? There's a reason all communication apps and chats have an option to GO INVISIBLE. Users like that option, give it to us. The alternative is to create spy puppets, which are just pointless complications.
