Something simple like society losing electricity for an extended period of time (4-5 months) is my ideal survival situation. You'll get to see people panic as their food spoils and start to see the infighting and growing hostility in the populace. 

Fingers crossed.

Will it hopefully be enough to knock out any electricity?

No. The intensity of a solar flare would have to reach at least 9 to cause a blackout. But we were close.

You could see the same thing from locking complete strangers in a room together and harshly controlling their food supply externally. Throwing away society for that seems wasteful.

Shit like that is what I have always dreamed of. Even better would be a "Red Dawn" scenario. People like us will shine in these scenarios.

My prepping has slowed a little in the last year. But I'm still prepared.
