I have to be honest and I say I'd feel stupid answering this question.

There are two types of people in this world. Therapists and patients.

1. Therapists are those that can take something complicated and make it simple.

2. Patients are those that can take something simple and make it complicated.

Example: 

Some people learn how to tie knots (Patients). While others create the knot (Therapists).

1. Therapists are able to move from point A to point D, bypassing B and C

2. Patients, need B and C to move from point A to point D 

Therapists are the (minority)

Patients are the (majority)

Both before and after must have been dumb claims if your claim of editing is the case. His quote remains true, and you being self conscious of how others view your views I don't see as enough of a reason to not agree with him.

I also wasn't aware agreeing with someone made them into a leech.

Its not complicated Turn. Only you could make it complicated. You can pretend to be a Therapist all you want.
