Music to Suit Your Mood - Part 2 (unglitched)

^ I listened to the original as a kid.

My mom played the album about every other Sunday while she baked.

I still associate Simon & Garfunkel with the smell of cookies.

I drool like Pavlov's dog when I hear most of their songs  XD

Get in my boat
A storm is brewing and night’s approaching
Where do you want to go?
So very alone, you drift away
Who will hold your hand
When it pulls you under

Where do you want to go?
The sea is cold and so infinite
Get in my boat
The autumn wind keeps the sails taut

Now you stand there by the lamp
With tears running down your face
The daylight falls to the side
The autumn wind sweeps the street clean ¹

Now you stand there by the lamp
With tears running down your face
Evening light chases the shadows away
Time stands still and autumn’s approaching

Get in my boat
Longing becomes
The helmsman

Get in my boat
Yet I was
The best sailor

Now you stand there by the lamp
With tears running down your face
You take fire from the candle
Time stands still and autumn’s approaching

They only spoke of your mother
Only the night is so merciless
In the end I am still alone
Time stands still
And I am cold

Love that song. I am  cold

sigh

Mmm cookies.

This is from back when I was just a little poof.

I knew what I was even then.

This version of "The Sound Of Silence"

The combination of the lyrics and how David Draiman presented it.

Speaks to me more than any other song.

If you can relate to the lyrics and to the way it was sung. You will have a glimpse into WhoEyeAm

I can see it.

If I remember correctly, the original by S&G was some kind of shout out against censorship.

Disturbed used some nice imagery to convey that meaning. I was also pleased with Draiman's vocals.
