I've noticed that I say 'lol' after practically every fucking thing I say. I've decided that this makes me sound retarded, so I'm gonna try to stop.

I do this in real life too, I laugh a bit with everything I say. And sometimes I even say the acronym, 'lol' in real life. This is even worse.

Time to stop this 'lol' bullshit. Most overused phrase ever

I'm one of those people who uses the word maybe a lot, even if I'm certain. That and it's my preferred way to sneak sarcasm and indirect insults into casual conversations.

Cool.  Years ago I noticed others tendencies to use "like" a lot... like, A LOT!  I thought this sounded very stupid.  Then I noticed the word had crept into my speech.  Just as in your use of lol, I quickly put forth an extreme attempt to limit/cease the use of "like" for any other purpose than to say I actually like something.  Your post for instance, Black... I like it.  Good luck in your self control.
