I would rather be assigned an element, since I can't make up my mind. Astrologically, I have a lot of fire and earth, well-seasoned with air. Mercury is in about every nook and cranny.
I imagine my "aura" or the shape and nature these affinities take, somewhat like a planet. The surface has an airy, ephemeral quality that carries its moods and wandering thought, then a layer down is a mix of earth and water, where certain parts remain fluid and changing conform around and into the spaces of earth that remain fixed, solid, established, resistant to erosion by the previous two forces/elements. Below all this lies the various layers of molten lava and fiery core, which remains contained, flowing and energizing until certain stresses crack the surface and bring quakes and volcanic eruption when disturbed.
