A 15.6 laptop in vertical mode

That's hawt. I wouldn't be surprised about being able to buy a monitor like that for 20$ since all the material in them could make at best 10$ lol. I've been lately thinking about getting those at least 1280x800 native resolution projectors and enjoy gigantic shemales ass-raping each other on an 100 inch part of my wall. Throw a logitech k400 keyboard in there (look it up, its a piece of work) and I'll probably not leave my house again. I've been known to flirt with mature customer service reps at tech shops for discounts and possibly for some plug & play in the tech store bathroom if they dont look like horror movie characters :D

I've got a nice little three monitor setup with a vertical dual monitor stand and one 42 inch. It's a pretty sweet setup. Especially when using a dynamic tiling window manager like Awesome WM. Great for coding.  And the whole setup was under $150

I am thinking of pulling out the monitor and placing it over the laptop's keyboard part to make it like a big ass tablet in portrait mode, I can see 100 lines of code with a small font easily this way, it's amazing

Actually buying a whole new monitor seems redundant both in space and price terms, I can just do as I said in the first post and get 13.3 inch in height for 0 price.

Depends on whether or not you live near a city.

I've bought several monitors online for pennies (craigslist, facebook groups, "friends"). Then again I'm quite good at manipulating people into selling for a lower price than they intend too...

I have a 34 inch monitor that I bought for (I shit you not) 20 bucks.

and a 42 inch that I got for 50.

Seems redundant, just buy an oblong monitor.

Or get  an Acer ICONIA-6120 14 inch Tablet PC

Yeah I like the K400 so much I bought two. And i've bought projectors... they tend to be a great idea that never quite live up to expectation.... That said the one good setup I have enjoyed is getting the Vivitek - Qumi Q5 Pocket Projector. They are nice and compact and if you like to throw parties in the woods after going mudding and drinking all day, they're great for late night projections onto a bedsheet (just plug it into your cars cig lighter port and run the laptop off battery). This setup is greatly enhanced with an HMDX Jam Plus speaker, it is just amazing how much sound you can get out of those tiny speakers and at a great price (you can also run sound from your car speakers if you want the "drive in theater" experience.
