Good points. Dont know Luna personally but the impression I get from her idealistic visions in her posts is she will be part of the generation that addresses and fixes the problems of slave labor and moving toward cooperative economics and self government by organizing localized democratic representation per community, utilizing the internet to network resources and model reforms.
Go for it Luna. People will follow a good lead. Just get the solutions out there and ppl will organize around them. We really have no choice since as Etzel points out clearly the current disparity is not sustainable. Look fwd to seeing solutions led by your generation.

That was incredible smart of you to say. But it still bugs me how you can seemingly understand so much, and then stand for "free speech" ideals, and "democracies" and "better worlds", etc. etc.
As for needing others, of course we do. Or you don't like the idea of having 7 BILLION slaves working 24/7 for you? I.e. people working for the sole reason of feeding you McDonald's, building you cars, inventing more powerful laptops, etc. and so on ad infinitum. And, as you say, our OWN reality INCLUDES others (that others are robots/insects/sheep changes none of this), so it's only logical we should take them into account.
So basically, go give philosophy a try?

As for "fixing" slaves: there's nothing to be fixed here. Slaves have always existed, and yes, they will always exist.
Hi Etzel I started a new thread since your depth of response exceeds the capacity and courtesy of this thread. There are plenty of women already building schools to break the cycle of poverty and trafficking, besides Deepa Willingham of Pace Universal ( who is a Rotary Club leader working out of CA and TX to build schools in Mexico after her successful schools in India. And Dottie Laster whose antitrafficking consulting and training has created partnership programs with law enforcement nationwide.
Sorry you have never heard of these women and the work they do to train whole communities to organize, yet youve already passed judgment on them and the work of all women as nonexistent.
Hope you at least respect your mother for giving you birth and Bill Gates and others who furthered access to technology so we could even have this conversation online.
