With one of the grade schools I was in the class took a trip to a place... I think was called Olympia? They had us for one of the nights walk through the woods with no flashlight, holding onto a long piece of rope as the one in front guided just from knowing the trails.

The fear factor is what added anything to something like that, so I politely disagree with it not being fun.

I remember trying to find my way home in the dark at night when I lived in the sticks. Sure was an amazing experience. Trying to stay on the dirt road and not walk into the ditch.
