Luna, it def looks robotic... I hope this doesn't infer you see the sociopath as robotic?

well, without emotions, we have only that concious to drive us, and that concious, i believe, if given a single goal, if the sociopath commits him/herself too it, then it will simply life life just as a computer. using experiences to weigh possible outcomes, and choose the best course of action that would best result in teh furthering of the individuals cause.

It is.  Just expect a few "take down" requests from other webmasters if you don't.  Or switched images (which can be fun - everybody loves goatse, right?).  

But what would drive someone to such focus?  Whether a sociopath or not... my bet is attachment of some sort.  Emotion.

Which, I suppose, is really the attachment to one's own well-being and status...  but still.

I would argue that focus could be aqquired by a narccist with big dreams that sets high expectations for his/herself.

I do not disagree with you nor D's thoughts here.  I would even throw out there that a psychopaths emotions, regardless how shallow or deep; fiery or dim, these would all be selfish emotions... But emotion is still what drives attachment.  What else, even the DESIRE to stay alive, is emotion driven.  Weak the will to survive, less the chance to stay alive.
