I use the email address I used to register on the old forum and this is what I found:
"Would be a shame to lose it altogether."
It's why I'm wondering how many dollars it'd take to archive the place. If $6.00 is cheap enough to nab every post, that's not that bad. It's when people try to use the forum as an actual forum that the costs would pile up more noticeably.
"But didn't Damaged say he had a mirror site of it saved?"
That'd be awesome, but it'd not do us any good if none of us can snag it from him.
Here's a link to download the old forum: https://mega.co.nz/#!G1whiZIa!laVKWXoqTjGU0DxsZZVvtYGATxO5T1iVUgiUuQVVf-s
It's compressed with 7zip. When you uncompress it it should make a directory called forum.2298483.n4.nabble.com. It's 122M compressed and 867M uncompressed. It doesn't include a directory called templates because I don't think it's needed for anything. If you want it, here's a link for it:

It uncompresses to a folder called "templates". Move it into "forum.2298483.n4.nabble.com". It has 116,141 files and is 18M compressed and 1.5G uncompressed
It's easy to archive it. Just use wget. The problem is I'm not sure I got the whole thing. I've tried looking at a couple of pages and they were broken. Also the CSS is messed up for some of them.
Once you set up wget, it's a 1 line command, you just let it run. And run. And run. i think it took 7 days and over 250,000 HTTP requests to get the whole thing. It took at least $150 worth of credits to download it. I'd be surprised if whoever bought credits back then, bought that many.
Who was in charge of the old forum? Nabble lets you export it. Give me the admin password and I'll do it.
I'll upload the copy I have in a day or 2.
