I'm not sure what leverage you're assuming sugar has. Maybe in your mind she has some, but back in the land of reality...

When you want answers from someone, you go to them. You don't expect them to come to you. Sugar wants answers. Therefore, it makes logical sense that she go to the person she wants them from and this case, it's TK.
