Raft of the Medusa. To get a feel for what human limbs should really look and feel like the artist, who lived close to a morgue went got a couple of body parts to lie around in his apartment while painting to get it right. If I recall correctly it is situated in the room outside of the Mona Lisa, although in my opinion eclipsing her in terms of skill and beauty.
