Well, color me surprised. Who would have thought that Dexter would want to create catchy, new terms for boring, old issues? I'm being sarcastic; this is exactly what we've come to expect from him. Read on, gentle reader, and hear what I have to say. His favorite story seems to be that he values our perspectives. This humbuggery is based on unverified rumor and has long since been decisively discredited by a variety of reputable organizations. Nevertheless, that's not the most frightening thing about Dexter. Have you heard that he has deep roots in the mulch of Oblomovism, fertilized by an intense desire to lead us, lemminglike, over the precipice of self-destruction? I find information like that disturbing on so many levels that I can't help but want to derail Dexter's mindless little schemes.

Dexter has come up with proven methods to suck up to irrational lotharios. All you have to do is let your guard down. His treatises are pockmarked with uncompromising recidivism and other assorted ills. Think I'm exaggerating? Just ask any of the most valuable members of our community and they'll all tell you how he twists every argument into some sort of “struggle” between two parties. Dexter unvaryingly constitutes the underdog party, which is what he claims gives him the right to corrupt our youth.

I believe I have finally figured out what makes people like Dexter provide cranky conspiracies with the necessary asylum to take root and spread. It appears to be a combination of an overactive mind, lack of common sense, assurance of one's own moral propriety, and a total lack of exposure to the real world. I am not in any way placing the blame on him for hubristic big-mouths who replace intellectual discourse with programs designed to instill sectarian and ideological doctrines. That notwithstanding, he is still culpable for plotting to convict me without trial, jury, or reading one complete paragraph of this letter. And that's what writing this sort of letter is all about. It's a way to justify condemnation, constructive criticism, and ridicule of Dexter and his nepotism-prone suggestions.

Very well... now quit your snivelling or I may have you mistaken for a guardsman before the night is over.

The owner of a SoHo boutique specializing in the sale of animal and human bones pleaded guilty yesterday in State Supreme Court in Manhattan to illegally selling remains of endangered species and transporting human fetuses.

Investigators who spoke on condition of anonymity said they believed that William Stevens, 49, the owner of Evolution: Natural History in SoHo, intended to sell the fetuses, which were preserved in formaldehyde, to collectors. They also said that they discovered a letter in Mr. Stevens's office computer to a person in France regarding the acquisition of a two-headed human fetus.

The National Institutes of Health provides nearly $19 million in grants and awards for fetal-tissue research, an amount that many in the scientific community consider budget dust compared with the $15.6 billion total 1999 appropriations.
