Figure out what diagnostics are available to hardware technicians for your brand, and run a check on memory space. The bios. That sort of stuff. Especially if you mean a crash, as in something entirely wonky happens which forces your system unusable, as opposed to it simply restarting on it's own, freezing what seems like indefinitely, or does the blue screen of death sort of thing.

Perform a Memory test
To use the Memory Test in the BIOS, follow the steps below.
Turn off the computer and connect the AC adapter.
Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the f10 key to enter the BIOS setup window.
Use the Left Arrow and Right Arrow keys to select Diagnostics.
