From what I understand, if you are the target of a high functioning sociopath in a social setting, you will encounter some "apaths" sort of working with the sociopath against the target. Is it possible to misidentify one of the apaths as the sociopath, or vice versa? Like maybe one of the apaths has a jekyll and hyde personality and you think they might be a sociopath but in reality they have some other sort of personality disorder. The real sociopath could possibly be a chameleon behind the scenes and you haven't identified them or think they are one of the apaths?

Yeah, this could actually happen. Nevertheless, you have to be careful with both of them. If they're together, it must be for a reason...right???

Although, I believe you should be more specific.

What are you hoping to achieve in ''finding'' the sociopath? It's not a fight you can win, only way to win is to walk away.
