Homeless/street living experiances

I've always lived been interested in the practicalities and everyday life of the homeless person.

Like with most people there exists a barrier between my life and the life of those in the lower echelons of society. I have dabbled with them, specifically with hookers but that is more like dipping your toe in the filth, not getting a feel for it. I'm also sure Oliver Twist does not have the same realism it had at the time so I don't have much to go on.

So what I am asking for is your stories and experiences with being homeless/living on the street. How did you get there? What did you have to do to survive? Where did you sleep?

All this is alien to me so any input is welcome.

Curious as to why you bumped this thread. Are you thinking there are homeless people coming here that might not have seen this thread when you first posted it?

Whoa easy there, wouldn't want to induce a heart attack. I would never forgive myself, the thought of my shitty spelling killing someone...

I was homeless on and off as a teen, but I'm not sure of your reasons for wanting to understand what it's like. I should say, I don't trust you wanting to know. You seem like such a pompous ass most of the time. Were you born into upper class?

No but both my parents provided me with a stable living. During my time in China we might have been considered upper class nut most of the time normal mid. My dad was from the lower class and had to fight his way through poverty so I guess I have some connection.

I'm really sorry if I come off as snobby I hate snobby people and most things associated with them.
