What is normality in morality?

Do people generally believe that hurting and killing for pleasure/gain is wrong? Do they obide by these morals because of the law or because of primitive survival instinct? Do individuals who display the desire to ignore 'morality' do so as not to conform, or have they been deprived of such experiences resulting in curiousity?

Honesty is easier alongside anonymity, so what are your feelings?

Any reference to Nazis and concentration camps would be great.

We used to feed christians to lions, enslave niggers, legal weed, and abortion was a sin. The perspective changes based on the society major vote if you will.

Normality in morality = accept society's values. They've defined what's good/bad, but since these concepts don't exist objectively, they can be easily deconstructed.

Besides, like Cain said, it's just a matter of perspective. These concepts are so broad and ambiguous that you can't define them with clarity.

() Without humans, these concepts wouldn't exist.

Nazis are stuck up elitists and concentration camps get crowded. I say instinctual.

Yes people believe this.  Yes most follow this guid line.  Cain hit it on the head though, perspective.

I think for most people it's instinctual.

If we're talking about empaths, it is definitely instinctual to feel repulsion of anti-moral actions like killing/ hurting others. Empaths who choose to go against those morals are usually doing so for another instinctual reason - survival - self preservation in fear and/ or as a result of dehumanizing the target (like Hitler was able to do to the Jews).

I think that this is a very well shared opinion among empaths.

That's true (especially when we're talking about those ones who take souvenirs from their victims).

So, the only thing that prevents you from killing others is the attachment that comes from it. Am I right or have I misinterpreted something???

EDIT: Attachment. I wonder if it brings more sadness than joy or viceversa.
