So, it looks as if they in developer phase?

I don't want to say anything, but, has anyone thought that business model is more profitable than trying to sell units to the public?

This would be the second or third round? I don't know how the crowdfunding comes into play.

I do know that facebook bought a large chunk of the deal, so, I guess there is always that powerhouse behind them, but wouldn't they be best for pushing their gaming empire to support that?

I ask because I truly don't know where it is headed, especially with people like Google trying to push a slimmer more lifestyle compatible VR device, and Sony is sitting right there, probably just waiting to retrofit a few 3d game engines to pump out a few hundred titles.

I mean obviously MineCraft is a choice game to sport on that platform, as it is already a 3d environment so to speak, so maybe the transition is lower? But I did hear at one point that the guy who runs the thing flat out said, no way.

Now for entertainers, what is the speaker system all about, right? You'd need to build rigs with hundreds of condenser microphones or develop some type of hack 3d rotational sound processing system to allow normal video television content creators access to that. I mean obviously studio television is no fit for the VR masks.

I;m asking because I don't know, maybe these things already exist?

The game you posted though, reminds me of bryce canyon, and an early 3d super nintendo game. So, it seems to me that they are waiting on more processing power? Again, asking because I don't know.

This is the audio processing console, or authoring environment?

Oh well, they are in the gold.

They just have to beat out sony, which they will probably do?

So my guess is they are waiting for sony to make the first move or something? Maybe sony vr will be the next nintendo power glove, or is that where Google Glass is headed?

You know, Google Glass is probably more adaptable to television viewing experiences, no?

There's a guy on Youtube with an entire channel based on using the toy. I thought it'd be good with a remake of games like LSD:

I think it'd be good if they went the route of android and did all the software, said to hell with crowdsourcing developers, and let fashion designers, and others release products with the tech integrated into it. However, that doesn't seem to be the case. They want to sell the hardware, so it seems. I don't know enough about it though.

For gaming it would obviously suck, but for let's say a taxi cab guy, or a nature guide, or something it'd probably be 1000% better than a heavy full screen gaming console.

Not necessarily a failure, but more of a segway.

hey kappa have you ever done game development before? because i have done 3d game animation in college. wanna make a horror game?

Yeah, I got really bored once while working a night club, and spent early mornings building a 3d javascript engine for a primitive tank game at an internet cafe waiting for the morning train out of the city.

I honestly hate programming. I can't stand it anymore. I have to force myself. If you asked me a few years ago, yeah, sure.

Most games nowadays are made with game engines, or map editors. However, this guy has the good raw code for "primitive" stuff.

Right? For that you'd truly want to write in object oriented. However, you know, procedural is best to make something simple and easy to understand, and that's where my heart was yanked out of coding, because quite frankly, I have never run into a code base that made any architectural sense, genuinely.
