I think I have good excuses for each case.
I just found out about it the other day. I checked my facebook and everyone is like WTF !?
I don't know about it in much detail but from what I've gathered here is what I think.
First to get it out of the way, Florida has permissive Gun laws for those who need to defend themselves. Granted Gun controll is on the rise, this is yet another thing that will have the masses agree we should be disarmed before the big ownage.
From what I've read, this Zimmerman was bullying Trayvon. Trayvon attacked Zimmerman, smashing his skull on the pavement. I don't know if the weapon was concealed or how exactly it went down, but to me it looks like a provoked attack. Regardless, the kid never had to get violent. Zimmerman ended up shooting the kid dead.
In general, Laws are designed to protect some criminals and the rich. It being a provoked attack isn't enough to dispell the fact that the law itself suggests how zimmerman was right to defend himself with the gun while he was being brutally assulated.
If it's a race thing, who knows. It's all the same thing with the OJ Simpson case, no one knows anything, but the masses allowed their assumptions to guide them into a final judgement all the while they don't know OJ Simpson, or are they able to illustrate or dictate how it happened.
While the first world is saying OMG OMG OMG, it is they who fund the ongoing biggest crimes against humanity, and it won't be long before we hear the US government increase Gun laws. The future will be looking grim when those in power disable their own people from being able to fight back in a time when the sheeple wake up.

One factor is whether Zimmerman targeted and followed Martin because he was a black kid in a hoodie.
In which case, Zimmerman may have provoked the attack and then fired away.
Also, it was in a gated community where zimmerman lived and Martin was staying with someone.
Also, now it is being released that Zimmerman was racist, molested his cousin and had attacked a police officer after resisting arrest and had a former fiancee file a protective order against him.
Also, When he called 911, the dispatch told him to wait for the police rather than chase Martin.
But, other than those things, I agree with you. :)
Nothing good ever comes out of stupid. So Zimmerman called the police because there was what appeared to be a black hoodlem in the neighborhood ? And what was he chasing him for ?
"It would have been less troublesome if the kid never attacked." Don't tell that to the masses though, their ego's will flair up. But if the kid never attacked, then Zimmerman would have lost, especially if he went and shot the kid anyway, he'd serve time for first degree murder then the first world would party then let it rest. If you ask me, the power was in Martin's hands, his poor choice lead to this whole show. If he was gonna die, might as well do it in a way so his killer pays for it.
Zimmerman will be judged by society. He isn't safe, nor secure. His life is in ruin, no one will want him. It's bad for business to be seen with that guy. I think Zimmerman will get what's coming to him. I think a grown man should have no problem tackling a teenage boy without the need of a weapon. If that wasn't the case, then Zimmerman shouldn't deal with beings that are beyond his abilities to control by authority, so he too in an ass.
Judge Judy should have handeled this.
