Nahhh, I've never been very fond of Mommy Porn Books and, even less, their movies. Nevertheless, I've heard too much about this book because a friend of mine and one of her many, many lovers are obsessed with it...lol. 

No. From what I hear, it isn't a movie about BDSM as much as it's a movie advocating abuse.

I haven't read the book myself, but everyone in the lifestyle I've spoken to who has has said this is nothing but the fevered fantasy of a girl who wants to be abused in the you-should-see-a-professional-about-these-feelings kind of way, which does not appeal to me in the least. I abhor weak women, and so the idea of watching a whole movie about someone toying with one sounds tedious.

But, as I said, I haven't read the book(s?), so maybe it's just more intense than some are comfortable with and they've gotten the wrong idea. Unfortunately, from the trailers, the female does seem to be a weak-willed, mousy little girl, something easily manipulated by an older, rich, confident man, no BDSM power-exchange even required.

Boring.
