I was going to buy bulk sulfer because I think it was good for anti-viral or anti-bacterial purposes, can't remember, but there seems to be food safe versions out there, unsure what grades there are. Whatever it does, so long as it doesn't burst your heart, you'll probably be fine.
I eat milk thistle for the kidneys. It's great if you ask me. Haven't really figured out anything good for liver other than eating the occasional awesome fresh cut calf liver. It's soooo good, and you know it's the good stuff when it tastes sweet. That and I plan to get my hands on some adrenal glands this summer from a farm if I can find one.
I was buying kidneys from a supermarket but they smelt like a barn, like piss, and I thought that was normal so I'd blanch the hell out of them, with vingars and so on, but it just remained disgustingly non-palatable. Someone over on reddit insists they do not smell like a barn or piss, so I suspect that even supermarkets have no idea what they are doing when they handle offal.
