Anyone know how to patch the b43 driver to support injections?

Trying to appear computer savvy and smart doesn't work to impress online girls buddy, and you're trying way too hard. Grab a self-confidence and social skills book and then you might have a chance to getting a life and lose your virginity.

That being said, the broadcom 34xx line of wireless devices do not support monitor mode which is a requirement to do injections or attempt wifi session spoofing, so your best bet is to look for an external wireless adapter (atheros is my choice)

I don't remember linux enough, but I think if you watch a specific folder that has all the driver pipes in them, it might help.

Yeah, I am very slang with my terminology. It is probably the Device file that I am thinking of. They'll be in the root /dev folder. So at the very least you can see what is happening, or to my understanding, you should be able to see what is happening.

Why the fuck wouldn't it be finding the correct drivers? This is supposed to be a well maintained program, and my box really isn't that old. Weird.

I am running Kali on a PC that's old as fuck. I am trying to get aircrack to work on my hardware, with minimal success. I have a single homed machine, the wireless card is Broadcom and the driver is b43. The PCI ID is 14e4:4312. My kernel version is 3.14.5.

This is what happens when I try to run aircrack.

# aireplay-ng -9 wlan0

ioctl(SIOCSIWMODE) failed: Device or resource busy

ARP linktype is set to 1 (Ethernet)

Make sure RFMON is enabled: run 'airmon-ng start wlan0 <#>'

Sysfs injection support was not found either.

I would look it up, but I'm too lazy. Someone tell me.

I think it is trying to tell you to run

airmon-ng start wlan0

Then try again...

Whatever you are running is not finding the correct drivers possibly. I don't know what that SCSI stuff is all about, but it almost sounds as if you are trying to route something through an old SCSI hard drive interface. Good Luck!

Thanks for making me laugh, I need it :D

You say that my hardware is not compatible?

Well, Murphy's law - it never works the first time.

How so? The computer you are on, probably is the size of the entire Apollo space mission.

Let me guess, to you old as fuck, means five years ago? I pulled one of the trash the other day. It's at least a decade old. If I ever find the disks, I can confidently say it will be faster than the piece of shit I am on now.

My thread has turned into a dick measuring contest.

How unfortunate.

"Watch the driver pipes"? When was the last time that you used Linux? No offense lol.

Is that actually a thing though? Some kind of program that lets you monitor the driver usage?

I would look it up, if I gave enough of a shit.
