Anyone who sucks at the game ought to play as a punching fixated Brick. The game practically plays itself on autopilot at that point.

Never hurts to leave your comfort genres. The game was never about realism, it was meant to feel sort of comic bookish with sarcasm from almost every character you find. I enjoyed it for the leveling system and freeform equipment, as the stats had some rather fun interactions with the battle system.

However, I strongly recommend S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

I've never met a game more suitable for me. You play as a stalker, its hyper realistic/extreme difficulty, post-apocalyptic, there's gas-masks everywhere! and its in fucking Chernobyl.
