This interview with neuroscientists Dr. James Fallon is very interesting: greatergood.berkeley.edu/article/item/can_a_psychopath_learn_feel_pain
This struck a chord with me (as did the whole article): "I am very aggressive and perniciously competitive, to the point where no one would play games with me. In terms of empathy, I have all of those associated with cognitive empathy. You can see this reflected in the PET scans and EEG’s—very high activity in the part of my brain having to do with planning, executive functioning, special relationships, perception, and language. In the areas for emotional empathy, activity is quite low and poor." When I was a kid, a relative recorded me so that I could hear what a monster I sounded like whenever I lost at a game. As a very young child, I refused to play with anyone unless they explicitly agreed beforehand that I would be the "boss". It is no wonder that I had such a hard time getting along with others in primary school. Does this resonate with anyone else, here?
by lewdistHey Delta, you might like the Vagus Nerve theory in relation to psychopathy. Though I think it's a bit obscure to find much on.
Yeah, that seems to work. If you press on your artery it does something to "kick start" the brain back into action or something. I've tried it, seems to work!

In the neck, the vagus nerve travels near the carotid artery and jugular vein. Interestingly, neurologists in the 19th century noted that applying pressure on the carotid artery in the neck, and thus the vagus nerve, could stop seizures. - See more at: http://epilepsy.med.nyu.edu/diagnosis-treatment/vagus-nerve-stimulation-vns#sthash.kHXFUyEQ.dpuf
:P
I suppose you have a well developed theory on psychopathy and the vagus nerve.
Now I can't prove this, but before the white man arrived, there was a great war in south america between the aliens and the humans. The only way the humans could escape the mind control of the aliens, was to flatten their head, entirely rendering their dorsolateral prefrontal cortex completely useless.

In that article he mentions this, the Orbitolfrontal Cortex

Another weird thing about that area of the brain is that it's right next to this hollow space, which really doesn't seem to serve any purpose at all.

The Frontal Sinus.
I'm not going to say anything too crazy, but maybe Fallon has a fungus in his nasal cavity which has penetrated into his brain, and has begun mind controlling him with microscopic organism technology that is over a trillion years old?
