Ought to make a topic about it, as so far it's "delete anything with real life information at the request of the user that cannot remove it themselves". Knowing the line would be nice, and making the decision of where the line is on my own could be argued is me abusing power no differently from when TK was in this position.

This portion's much more debatable, as it carries a lot of real life data.

I kind of am the janitor here actually, being stuck doing actions I don't really believe in to follow rules and remain impartial instead of biased. If I step outside of that and make decisions based purely on my opinions of people it'll potentially make way for bigger mistakes. If you want me to behave differently, the rules themselves will need to be changed, and for that to happen the users will need to make a fuss about it.

Keep in mind, anything removed has information that someone deems important. If I'm stuck removing a post, it's a red flag to that being a person's weakness, so having posts with information deleted is in itself a giveaway of it's value. If the information is seen as non-threatening and left to sit there, people will be less likely to use it, while if it's removed it gives users incentive to find more.

With any luck, example will prove a good teacher of that fact.

Lest it eluded you, i said DETAILS.  Neither I nor TC had any idea that it would result in the whole thread disappearing.

Also Xena's big fuss was made about a first name, for fuck's sake. Not even a peculiar first name but a common noun (like table, pan, brick etc. - a word commonly used in common speech) which apparently happens to be her given first name. Which she voluntarily shared on skype or wherever.   How is that comparable with someone's full name and street-addres??

If her mother had the slightest sense of humour, then her family name is Infirma.

It's a shame that my not removing it would be me not following protocol. She basically left a list of demands for me in her "absence" using TK's info being removed as the reasoning.

And yeah, the tidbits I threw out were all just somebody's loyalty tests. They can't hurt me with it. There is a little more nearly-personal info out there that hasn't surfaced here, so now I know who could be trusted with a few more personal details.

There's a point where I stop altogether. Do you wait till the bad guys are smashing your window to start making noise? No. You set a snare at your fence post and trip them up well away from your house. Then you have a second chance to knock them the fuck out before they can get to your valuables.

You folks are really going to have to find another model if you want to Flandersize me and make me one of your own. The TK suit is a really bad fit.
