I spent a few weeks living in one of those alma matter places? You know, delta, kappa, sigma places. A really old building with meeting rooms and so on. It was a sty. I don't really put a lot of faith into that stuff, however alumni from places like Harvard, or Oxford, or reputable educational establishments seem to have a definitive advantage in the world of science and business.
The college I went to, seemed as if there was so much competition that there was nearly immediate fallout after graduation. That's how it seemed. I don't really know for sure.
Honestly, perhaps those places attract affluence, and affluence is a culture or a pattern of behavior, that binds people in a some strange way as opposed to it being soley a result of the institution itself? I really don't know. That cosmo shit that reports on sororities is crazy. It's like they are training for war.
So, I dunno. I'd hate to be the odd man out with one of those alliances when the time comes, and yeah, there will be a time, most probably, so, whatever you get involved in, don't put all your eggs in one basket.
I'd suggest maybe whatever group you join, that it has some education in terms of ethics. That is only a guess however. Otherwise you'll just be backstabbing each other to death. Only guessing.
