I was the pure strength build. I loved bashing with those tower shields! Also, Zweihander! I've been fascinated by that game a long time. It's awesome. The story is amazing. One of the best games of today in my opinion. 

The story was pretty empty but the setting and background leading up to the chosen undead was pretty good.The concept that hollows are just people that have been driven insane from immortality is amazing.

Siegmeyer was my favorite character next to lautrec. Tanks died out really quick during pvp sessions though. Play the sequel?

hahaha. That was the best pace to do invasions.

There was a time where I played it for hours on end. But I'm not exactly very good at it... Fucking Blighttown...

Yes, what build did you use?

I always went with straight dexterity, maybe some pyro.

controller. definitely. There's too many controls to easily reach on the keyboard, and they put no effort into porting to pc, so it still says tells you to press controller buttons on the pc regardless of if you have one or not.

Better than the first. Combat system is greatly improved, more terrifying bosses, a way harder game in general. Also a better weapon enchantment  system and far better covenants.

Yea, that's the setting not exactly the storyline you play as the chosen undead. In the game itself all you do is go and try to kill bigger bosses to get stronger. Open world games usually have shitty plotlines with rich background and settings(fallout, skyrim).

"I didn't play PvP because I didn't have the original"

You missed out, it made the game so much harder. At any time if you were human you could get invaded by an online player in your game. The AI would work with him to kill you, which made areas that were really tough to begin with death zones for anyone who was playing alone.

I heard about the PvP and yeah, I missed out a hell of a lot. :(

The storytelling in Dark Souls is way different than in any open world game I know. There is no storytelling here. If you wanna find out the story, you'll gave to dig real deep to find what you're looking for. The story is hidden in the landscape, in the item descriptions, NPC dialogues etc. The story isn't showed down your throat as in many other games. The gameplay itself differs it from other games. Dark Soul's reputation is well deserved with unforgiving difficulty, relentless enemies and an amazing gameplay mechanism. Well, this is just my opinion, the ramblings of a fan boy, you know?

Can't wait to play Dark Souls 2.

Is it advisable to play it with a keyboard and mouse, or a PC controller?
