I've never made a selfie.

In fact I tend to sabotage any and all depictions of myself.

Does that make me akin to the messenger of god?

Why do I try to sabotage any and all pictures that are taken of me?

The Majority of people take themselves too religiously.

When I point it out they get outraged.

Then I explain that I have a well preserved image of myself and all those that mean something to me within my mind.

I've even drawn portraits out of memory to prove the point.

Then I get accused of being the devil by my very own family members.

Successfully though, I manage to explain to them their own insecurities and why they necessitate to have themselves represented by imaginary representation.

I actually think the selfie trend is just a hyped up trend at this point. Yes our society is narcissistic but when I post things on FB I am truly just sharing my experience with people. I like to look at other people's photos. I felt dumb so I took them all down.

I mostly posted this here just for shits and giggles, but ironically I've had four people tag me with this in a jokingly-accusing manner on Facebook. Jeez, I thought I hid it better than that hahaha ¯_(ツ)_/¯

But yeah, I agree, selfies -> narcissism -> psychopathic tendencies...  it makes perfect sense to me.

You should really get into the habit of reading the real study not the media processed version of it.

Also I suspect more selfies -> narcissism -> psychopathic tendencies

It's hilarious that people do take Jezebel seriously though. Must have really been a psychopath in my teenage years, but stopped taking them because it got boring. Then again, it was the first time with a camera on a laptop so....
