So do mine, and add growing / producing and other things to the list. Somehow i think you haven't set foot much outside of a city, and "streets" provide only a very limited scope for foraging / scavenging (restaurant trash-bins and shoplifting, for the most part).

Per definition, all food items (except salt perhaps) are perishable, lol. Some are less perishable (more non-perishable) though, those are the overprocessed stuff filled with preservatives you get in supermarkets. If you can cook a decent meal with those, then i want the recipe.
