Random philosophical thought that popped in my mind

So today while working on my new facebook clone for the sociopaths / outcasts of the world, after playing out in my mind a scenario of scamming someone, my logic started to dissect the entire situation and it went like this;

"Hah, what a dumb ass mark, he'll give me all his money unknowingly and he won't notice anything until later, this is such a great plan, I'm a genius'

"What makes him dumb and what makes me a genius?"

"That he could never think of such a plan and I did this plan on the spot"

"Well, he probably could, he's almost as skilled and smart as you, it's his conscience preventing him"

"So he isn't intellectually deficient, but merely prevented by his conscience to think such things"

This made me have a "Wow!" moment, and made me ask myself this:

If he can think something up, but something in his mind prevents him to do it, is he psychologically impaired? Is having a conscience on the same level as having dementia, mental retardation, dissasociative disorders that shut down certain mental functions such as imagination, and major depression?

Let me know your thoughts.

Where in my post did you read that I am targeting only sociopaths and I am writing my clone from scratch? You should stop listening to the voices in your head that jump to conclusions and learn to comprehend text properly before trying to give useless cliche advice...

Empathy holds one back- pretty simple and well cut, people are moved by emotions and think that they can perceive with them, which is utter bullshit

Guy nobody writes their own software... don't waste your time... somewhere there is an open source product you just grab...

In fact every web start up I've seen in recent times is an open source grab... the last big project I was apart of, it grew to enormous proportions, bigger than anything I've seen yet, and the only thing it did was aggregate youtube content. I wrote it in about 2 weeks and it lasted the guy years, I think it's still in use... but that was before people genuinely jumped on open source projects, in a mainstream sense...

In other words... go for the market, rather than inventing software... sociopathy is not a large enough demographic if you ask me...

I mean that guy hustled... that's probably what you have to do... fuck the software... hustle the community idea... you'll get a feel for how big of gap in the market there is to fill...

IN other words, if you get into the idea of writing complicated software, you can take what could take 2 weeks to write, and spend years trying to hit a moving target. Hope that helps...

You know what totally blows me away, is that I once worked on an agency microsoft product. Those guys spent a fortune, went through several different versions, and didn't even come close to making a successful product. It's shut down now... but even the big agencies cannot penetrate specific markets... so, work on your community idea... I am only guessing, because if I knew for certain, obviously I'd have a big ass multi million dollar project in my pocket...

Empathy makes one not be able to see that what is detrimential to others isn't necessarily detrimential to yourself (for example destroying a chicks self-esteem to make her more obedient and pleasant towards you), conscience and affective empathy are true handicaps that are roadblocks to self-actualization and being a true winner,in my opinion.

What is that one community, /r/ ??? /a/ ???

I can never remember the name of those guys... but you've seen that site right?

What about craigslist?

Myspace... right? Did you see how they massacred it a few years back in a attempt to make a better software product?

So... yeah... from scracth, from open source, nobody really cares about the software when it is a community thing... they will settle for the shittiest controls you can imagine, or what people consider, simplicity... see reddit for a prime example...

I mean youtube is god, it's great, but it is the unsung truth, and everyone knows it, that it is nowhere near as fun as it used to be before plus... sure it is "more engaging" in some senses, with alerts and wing dings, but compared to the fun factor of fudging and making shitty controls do fucked up things, it's nowhere near as fun as it used to be...

I don't know what to say... I mean what could you possibly do to make a troll, feel absolutely at home with a commenting system? Right? The trolls are the gods... only my opinion...

and what's your angle? "You are a dirt bag piece of shit, come join my community so we can lurk around and feel sorry for ourselves?"

yeah that's a whole lot of fun...

This is what everyone wants...

Holy shit... they made a movie about Steve Jobs... I can't believe it...

You guys ever see the legal tapes with Bill Gates, when the Federal Government interrogates him? It's pretty funny stuff... It's a little dry, but there are some good parts...

"Yes, we are the most choke respected software company"

See, I am no lawyer, but yeah, they emphasize the "Killer App" aspect, and yeah, I think I've said it here before, the law is not 9/10th possession. The law is 9/10ths intent...

Depends on what he thinks up. I'll need examples to give an opinion.
